Well Being Center
Welcome to one of Onslow County LGBTQ+ Community Center’s (The Center) newest programs, the LGBTQ+ Well-Being Center. The LGBTQ+ Well-Being Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, holistic wellness programming that affirms and uplifts all members of the LGBTQ+ community. We are committed to removing barriers to wellness experienced primarily by the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our community.
short-term peer to peer mentorship for lgbtq+ individuals, couples and families provided in a safe and confidential space
Our Peer Mentor's will offer a listening ear, provide support and assist you in identifying options, finding resources and gaining perspective.
Our groups are different than other support groups, in that they are facilitated by a trained peer mentor and require a commitment from group members. New members are introduced following an individual meeting with the group’s facilitator
We are made up of members, predominantly working-class people of color, who fight around the issues that most deeply affect our community while challenging the systems of power at the root of these problems.
